Abstract : Favism, which is a severe hemolytic anemia that occurs after ingesting fava bean (FB), has been known since ancient times. In the mid-20th century, a link between this disease and glucose-6- phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency was discovered This study was conducted to Comparative between two method gel filtration chromatography using sephadex G100 and SDS gel electrophoresis for G6PD enzyme purification and the result for this study was shown molecular weight of the G6PD equal 63k.Da for the enzyme extraction using gel filtration technique and 56k.Da by SDS-gel electrophoresis were approximately the same for this method.
