Abstract : This study was conducted to investigate the adverse effect of narcotic drugs (stimulants and depressor) used by addicts by take blood and biochemical parameters which include Liver Function (AST, ALT, ALP and Bilirubin) also for kidney functions test that include urea and creatinine B. urea, Creatinine. One hundred (100) Blood sample were collected from addicts in iraqi prisons whose take drugs (experiment group), (50) blood sample of people who don't takenarcotics (controlgroup). The results indicated significant difference in biochemical parameters, there was a significant increase (P < 0.05) in the levels of Aspartate amino Transferase (AST), Alanine amino Transferase (ALT), Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP) and Bilirubin in experimental group when compared with control group. Also it was showed a significant increase (P < 0.05) in the levels of serum creatinine and blood urea compared with control group.
