Abstract :

The aim of the research is to reveal the effect of free rhythmic aerobic exercises on a number of functional, biochemical, and physical variables for female students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and to compare the pre and post-measurements. The experimental method was used in a one-group design for its relevance to the nature of the research, and the research sample consisted of (19) female students from the third stage in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for the academic year (2019-2020). They were chosen in a deliberate way, and their average height, weight, and age were (2.871 ± - 158.368) cm, (4.094 ± - 60.894) kg, and (1.025 ± - 22.052) years respectively. All-female students were subjected to the curriculum of free rhythmic aerobic exercises for (12) weeks. The continuous training method was used with a ripple training load (3:1), the functional, biochemical, and physical measurements were taken before the curriculum, and also the same measurements were taken after the curriculum. The pre and post-measurements were carried out at an ambient temperature between (23-24)°C and humidity ranging between (35 - 40%). The researchers used testing, measurement, and all available information as means and tools for data collection, as they used a set of medical and laboratory devices and tools. The following functional variables were studied: number of breaths, systolic blood pressure, and diastolic blood pressure. As well as the following biochemical variables: total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, and LDL. In addition to the physical variable is aerobic capacity. The data were processed statistically using the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and t-test for related samples. The research concluded that the training curriculum led to positive, significant changes in the number of breathing times, systolic pressure, total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL, and aerobic capacity. While it did not lead to any significant change in the value of diastolic blood pressure.

Title : Oral Acitretin Versus Oral Zinc Gluconate as a Comparative Cross-Over Therapeutic Study in Treatment of Behcet,s Disease
Abstract :

Behcet’s disease is a systemic disorder where its etiopathogenesis is not well determined and commonest manifestations are muccocutaneous but can involve eye, cardiovascular and neurological systems. There are many modalities of therapy topical and systemic. Isotretinoin has been tried as an effective therapy of muccocutaneous manifestations. In present work is to try a new retinoid like acitretin which has longer half life than isotretinoin. To evaluate the effectiveness of oral acitretin versus oral zinc gluconate in the treatment and prophylaxis of BD as a new therapeutic model. This cross over controlled therapeutic study that conducted in the Department of Dermatology -Baghdad Teaching Hospital the period from August 2013-May 2014.Twenty patients who fulfilled criteria of BD are included in this work and the investigation were included ordinary and oral pathergy test. They were given acitretin 25 mg orally once daily for three months to be seen on the day fourteenth firstly and then monthly to be assessed depending on the clinical manifestation index for Behcets disease. After three months, acitretin was stopped and patients were given 25 mg elemental zinc gluconate twice daily for another three months. Twenty patients were treated, 12 males (60%), and 8 females (40%), with male to female ratio 1.5:1. All these patients completed the study and their ages ranged between 20-59 (37.3±12.3) years. Pathergy both ordinary and oral were also minimized by this therapy while C- reactive protein was not much effective by this therapy. Zinc gluconate had also the same therapeutic action against these manifestations. CMI before treatment ranged between 1 and 11 (5.65±1.98). After acitretin therapy the mean of CMI started to decline to reach 2.65 ±2.03 in first month of the therapy, with (p=0.00001) which was statistically high significant and continued high significant till the end of the third month. After cessation of acitretin and zinc gluconate started the mean continued to decrease to reach 2.05±2.52 at the end of the first month which was statistically high significant then; started to increase to reach 3.3 ±2.31 at the end of six month of the therapy but statistically remained highly significant. Both acitretin and zinc gluconate had statistically significant effect in reducing severity and frequency of oral ulcers, genital ulcers, skin and rheumatologic manifestations. Acitretin and oral zinc gluconte had an effective therapy in addition to its prophylactic action in treatment of muccocutaneous manifestations of Behcet,s disease. Also acitretin was statistically significant better than zinc gluconate.

Title : Nurses' Knowledge About The Safe Administration of Chemotherapy in The Oncology Center at Tishreen University Hospital in Lattakia
Abstract :

Chemotherapy is a proven prodigy for the treatment of carcinoma but it can possess certain deleterious effects on the healthcare professionals while on constant exposure. Being frontline workers, nursing officers continuously come in contact with these chemotherapeutic agents. Determine of Nurses' Knowledge About chemotherapy drugs (CDs) and The Safe Administration. The current study was conducted in Tishreen University Hospital in Lattakia City- Syria. The study comprised of 50 nurses in chemotherapy department. The tools used in the study was constructed by the researchers to achieve the purpose of the study which include three parts; part one consist of demographic data of the nurses (5) items, part two consist of general information regarding chemotherapy drugs (15) items, part three consist of nurses' knowledge regarding safe chemotherapy administration (16) items. The current study showed that the majority of nurses do not know that chemotherapy leads to delayed wound healing, and that it works to destroy cancer cells and healthy cells in the body. 74% of nurses had poor level of general knowledge about (CDs). Also this study showed that most of nurses do not know that(CDs) should not be stored in the preparation room, and the (CDs) should be prepared on a high table surface. Most of nurses had poor level of general knowledge regarding chemotherapy drugs, also majority of them had a poor level knowledge regarding safe chemotherapy administration.

Title : Prognostic significance of preoperative IL-35, IL-38 serum levels and MMP-9 tissue expression, and their association with clinicopathological factors in breast cancer patients
Abstract :

Breast cancer is one of the most frequent cancers among women today. Interleukine-35 (IL-35), interleukine-38 (IL-38) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) have been reported to play a potential role of tumor development and aggressiveness. However, few studies have compared the expression of IL-35, IL-38 and mRNA MMP-9 between primary breast cancer and benign breast tumor. Therefore, this study was aimed to investigate and compare the preoperative level of serum IL-35, IL-38 and the expression of mRNA MMP-9 of human breast cancer with benign breast tumor. In addition, elucidate the possible role of IL-35, IL38 and MMP-9 as prognostic markers for breast cancer and correlate it’s with the clinicopathological factors. A total of 90 Iraqi women including 60 patients with breast tumor (30 with primary breast cancer and 30 with benign breast tumor) and 30 healthy women were enrolled in the study. Blood and tissue sampling was done after taking a written consent. Preoperative serum level of IL-35 and IL-38 were measured for all participants by using human enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The level of mRNA MMP 9 expression was determined in 30 patients (20 with primary breast cancer and 10 with benign breast tumor) by using real time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT PCR). In addition, the clinicopathological factors of all the patients were collected. The result showed that serum IL-35 levels of patients with primary breast cancer was significantly higher compared with that of patients with benign breast tumor and in the healthy control group (P<0.001). However, there was no significant difference in the serum IL-38 levels between patients with primary breast cancer, benign breast tumor and the healthy control group (P=0.78). The area under curve (AUC) of IL-35 and IL-38 for distinguishing patients with primary breast cancer and healthy control subjects was 1.000 (95% CI: 0.940 to 1.000) and 0.756 (95% CI: 0.628 to 0.858) respectively. High level of IL-35 was significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis, and in patients with age ≥45 and with no family history for breast cancer (P<0.05), whereas IL-38, revealed a significant positive correlation with patients age ≥45, postmenopausal women and lymph node metastasis. The mRNA MMP-9 expression level was significantly raised in patients with primary breast cancer compared to the patients with benign breast tumor. A significant rise in mRNA MMP-9 expression was found in patients presenting with lymph node metastasis. In conclusion, preoperative levels of IL35 exhibit higher accuracy for primary breast cancer than IL-38. Our results suggest that serum IL-35 level and mRNA MMP-9 expression level are better markers than serum IL-38 in predicting breast cancer development and progression.
